Following the devastating impact of Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka, which caused widespread flooding, landslides, displacement, and significant damage to homes and livelihoods across the country, Taprobane Finance partnered with TRANSCO International to deliver a humanitarian relief initiative for affected communities. The cyclone became one of Sri Lanka's most severe natural disasters in recent history, impacting millions of people and creating an urgent need for humanitarian assistance.

As part of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, we coordinated the collection of essential relief supplies donated by the Sri Lankan community, Indian community, and many other multicultural communities across New Zealand. The overwhelming generosity of individuals, families, community organizations, and volunteers demonstrated the strength of unity during a time of crisis.

The donated items including clothing, household essentials, non-perishable goods, and other humanitarian supplies were carefully collected, sorted, packed, and prepared for shipment to Sri Lanka. These supplies were distributed to individuals and families who had been displaced or severely affected by the cyclone, helping them begin the process of recovery.

This initiative would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers and supporters who assisted in collecting donations from several major cities throughout New Zealand. Their time, compassion, and commitment played a vital role in ensuring that much-needed aid reached those who needed it most.

At Taprobane Finance, we believe our responsibility extends beyond providing financial solutions. Through meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, community partnerships, and humanitarian projects, we remain committed to supporting communities both in New Zealand and internationally whenever help is needed.

We extend our sincere gratitude to every donor, volunteer, community organisation, and partner who contributed to the success of this relief campaign. Together, we demonstrated that compassion, generosity, and unity can make a lasting difference in the lives of those facing adversity.
